Bio

     My name is Stacey Hencken and I have been teaching for twenty five years. I am a native of the state of Florida and have lived in many different states in the U.S.  I completed my undergraduate studies at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Fl. and received my Masters of Arts degree from San Diego State University.

I have a true passion to share my love of learning with my students.  Guiding each student of mine to progress in their academic and social development is key.  I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures this growth in a positive and fun environment. My expectation is to have a fantastic year and prepare my students for the challenges of middle school.

     Personally, I have been married for seventeen years and have a fourteen year old daughter at Winter Park High who just started crew and is loving it. I love animals! We have a dog, cat, and many fish. I enjoy listening to audiobooks, music and the ocean. Lastly, traveling the world with family and friends is one of my favorite things to do on this planet. One of my favorite lines is...”I haven’t been there.....yet”
